Division Determination Based On Age:
Little League Divisions are based on age, not grade in school. Every player must play in his or her age appropriate division according to the division in which they are drafted or assigned. Every year, every division has multiple players skilled enough to play in the level above where they are playing and every year there are parents who believe their child should have been drafted into the level above where they were drafted. That is the nature of Little League Recreational baseball. THERE IS NO “PLAYING UP” IN WHITEMARSH LITTLE LEAGUE. ANY PERSON WHO MISREPRESENTS A DOB SUBJECTS WLL AND THEMSELVES TO SANCTIONS.
In the T-Ball and Instructional Divisions, teams are assigned by the Commissioner of each division. As such, we will attempt to accommodate, as best we can, requests to play with a certain player/coach.
Starting with the Advanced Instructional Division, all teams are selected by a draft and requests to play with a certain player/coach cannot be accommodated. The drafts work as follows:
Ages 13-16: This age group must sign up to play with Colonial Baseball Association.
Majors: Absent exceptional circumstances, All 12’s must play in Majors and the remainder of the division is filled in with the 11’s that get drafted.
AAA: The 11’s that did not get drafted into Majors play AAA and the remainder of the division is filled in with the 10’s that get drafted.
AA: The 10’s that did not get drafted into AAA play in AA with all of the 9’s.
Advanced Instructional: All 8’s play in Advanced Instructional.
Any player that stays in WLL from AA-Majors (9-12) will repeat in 1 of the Divisions i.e. some will play 2 years in AA, some 2 years in AAA and some 2 years in Majors.

Colonial Baseball Association
The Colonial Baseball Association is a home for players who have aged out of Little League Baseball (above 12) to have an opportunity to continue to play baseball at Miles Park in Whitemarsh Township on the regulation sized baseball field (60/90).
Players living within the Colonial School District boundaries aged 13-16 are eligible to play for the Colonial Baseball Association. That means if you have played for Whitemarsh Little League, Plymouth Little League, or Conshohocken Little League in the past, then you now can join forces and play together on one team.
The Colonial Baseball Association is chartered in both American Legion Baseball and Connie Mack Baseball, which creates many opportunities for your son to find a team that is appropriate for him.
The Colonial Baseball Association will field teams that will play in the Fall, Spring, and Summer baseball seasons each year. The team that your son will play on will be based on his age, tryouts, and evaluations.
We field teams in the following leagues:
American Legion Baseball
- Main Line Sandlot Legion (age 14)
- MontCo Junior Legion (ages 14 & 15)
Connie Mack Baseball
- Bux-Mont C League (ages 13 & 14)
- Bux-Mont C1 League (ages 13 & 14)
- Bux-Mont B League (ages 14 & 15)
- Bux-Mont B1 League (ages 14 & 15)
