Through the utilization of its facilities, WLL provides support to the Marsh Cannons Club Baseball Team. Although these programs are independent of the Little League program, they are community-based initiatives that mandate that each player be eligible for and participate in the WLL spring recreation program. It is crucial to acknowledge that selection to a WLL district team is a distinct process and unrelated to participation on a Cannons Team.






Cannons teams begin to form at the 8u age group. Each age group comprises two teams, with the oldest age group being 12 years old. Training sessions commence once a week from January to March. Some age groups may initiate training in November if their schedules permit. Coach's will leverage their community connections to invite professional hitting and pitching coaches to assist in the development of each player.



    



There are no commitments regarding the number of tournaments a team participates in. However, the majority of teams typically engage in at least four to six travel tournaments from March to Memorial Day, with a few scrimmages in between. The Cannons will take a break during the summer and resume training and a light tournament season consisting of two to three tournaments.
